The Goldmine Standard of professional grading is used for the grading of the record, the outer sleeve & the original inner sleeve (OIS).
This information is hand written out as notes - attached to the outer sleeve of each record. Play grading has been done on most all of the records as well.
Grading is conservative and errors on the side of a lower grade rather than elevating the grading towards increasing the price of the record.
All written notes include the year the record originally came out as well as any information about the exact pressing that is being offered (repressing / remastering) / numbered edition / pressing information / ultra sonically washed / color way / etc.
Re sleeving has been done with high grade rice paper inners. Outer sleeving has been done with proper/long lasting/non fragile outer sleeves.
The inner sleeves are scratch resistant, archival, anti static and non-marring.
Most all records offered have been cleaned and washed, re sleeved, conservatively graded and are ready to be spun on your record player.

Much care goes into the storage/presentation of our records — so as to not create any record storage warping or damage to the outer record cover.
We offer education and tips on all things that help create the best sound.

Step 1: Assessing the record under very bright full spectrum lighting, identifying any issues (finger prints, water damage, oils, molds, scratches, deep dust and other issues that may need addressing).
Step 2: Dry brushing the record, cleaning off topical dirts, hairs, and polishing the lost wax and label.
Step 3: Ultrasonic washing with purified water (ion exchange “zero” water) along with added Degritter proprietary washing solution - length of washing time varies depending on the embedded dirt, issues of the record, or even the age of the record.
Drying of the record by air and rotation.
Step 4: Hand polishing the edge of the record and the lead in grooves, and further polishing the lost wax/ matrix area.
Step 5: Additional visual inspection of the cleaned record - record inserted into an anti static, scratch resistant, archival rice paper inner sleeve.
Service Fee: $8.00 to $10.00 per record with a 10% discount for 10 or more records.
Please note that some “dirty” issues may not be able to be addressed including molded, mildewed, warped and deeply scratched records.
Ultrasonic washing does NOT remove scratches or resolve most skips due to scratches, but I do try hard to improve the sound quality, visual quality and over condition of your prized record!!
